Big Obama Rally: Not

The DNC said 8000 people attended the rally. Since the DNC said this and they use new math, I'm pretty sure the people attending the rally is closer to 5000 or less.
Just like the Obama rally in Las Vegas fell way short of expectations, the rally in Cleveland also had to have been a disappointment.
I guess the honeymoon is over for Obama and the Democrats.

R.I.P Maurice Lucas

When I was a younster, my dad worked for the Marquette Warriors and I got to see some really good basketball players including George Thompson, Bo Ellis and Maurice Lucas. Well, today, Maurice Lucas died of bladder cancer at the age of 58.
From jsonline: Maurice Lucas, the fierce former Marquette power forward known as "The Enforcer" who also helped lead the Portland Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA title, died after a long fight with bladder cancer. He was 58.
Lucas died Sunday at his home in Portland, the team said.
At public appearances, fans often greeted Lucas with cries of "Luuuuuuke!" His competitive demeanor on the court was in contrast to his gentle nature off it.
Lucas led Marquette to the 1974 NCAA title game against North Carolina State and was selected to the All-Final Four team along with future Portland teammate Bill Walton. The 6-foot-9 former Pittsburgh high school star averaged 15.8 points and 10.6 rebounds that season, and he had 21 points and 13 rebounds against the Wolfpack in the title game.
In his two varsity seasons with Marquette, Lucas had 939 points and 643 rebounds. Among many memorable moments with the then-Warriors, Lucas sank a 20-foot shot as the final horn sounded to beat Wisconsin, 59-58, on Feb. 5, 1974.

Heaven just got another fine basketball player and human being.

Channel 13 News: Despicable Reporting

Last night, there was a shooting in North Las Vegas. The shooting took place a couple house from where a wake of an auto accident victim was being held. Heather Klein, idiot reporter for Channel 13, tried to link the shooting and budget cuts as one in the same.
In the print version of the story, it is here: http://www.ktnv.com/Global/story.asp?S=13420026
It is one thing to report on a shooting. It is another to report on budget cuts. But to try and link the two together is just pathetic and horrible reporting. It is also very insensitive to the families of the shooting victim and the auto accident victim. Maybe the Las Vegas Sun can hire Heather Klein. I hear they are looking for reporters who are not very bright.

Alaska Media Conspiring Against Joe Miller

Joe Miller is the GOP candidate that beat the sore loser, Lisa Murkowski the soon to be former senator of Alaska, in a primary. Miller is supported by the Tea Party. I'm not sure about Miller and his views, and h has done some weird things with the media but the media is also without sin. Today, it was reported that two "journalists" from a TV station conspired to get Miller at a rally for him.
From Biggovernment.com: The following voice mail message was inadvertently left on the cell phone of Joe Miller campaign spokesperson Randy DeSoto.
The voices are believed to be those of the news director for CBS Anchorage affiliate KTVA, along with assignment editor Nick McDermott, and other reporters, openly discussing creating, if not fabricating, two stories about Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Joe Miller.
The following is a transcript of a call recorded after
CBS Alaska affiliate KTVA called Joe Miller’s Senate campaign spokesperson. The call failed to disconnect properly. It was later authenticated by McDermott, who sent a text to Randy DeSoto stating, “Damn iPhone… I left you a long message. I thought I hung up. Sorry.”
http://biggovernment.com/publius/2010/10/30/anchorage-cbs-affiliate-caught-on-voicemail-conspiring-against-alaskas-gop-senate-candidate/
Here is the audio recording:

So, I wonder when these two "journalists" will be hired by the Las Vegas Sun? They seem more than qualified. I bet Brian Greenspun is kicking himself for not thinking about this plan himself.

Former Metro Police Officer Randy Sutton: Liar And Loser

Randy Sutton is a former police officer for Las Vegas Metro. He has been on COPs and has written at least one book and maybe more, on being a police officer in Las Vegas.
But when it comes to lying, he takes the cake. He appeared on an ad for Dina Titus complaining that Dr. Jo Heck was in bed with insurance companies concerning workman's compensation. It is in regards to a police officer who was denied workman's comp when he supposedly was exposed to ricin a couple of years ago. Sutton said Heck was in bed with Metro's insurance companies in denying the workman's comp medical claim.
Except for one thing: the Las Vegas Metro Police department is self insured!
I will give the wife of the police officer a slight break because she is in a vulnerable position and that she was probably used by Titus and the media, but Sutton has no excuse.
As a former Metro police officer, he knew that Metro is self insured. But Sutton decided to lie for Dina Titus and for political reasons.
Police officers are supposed to be honest, but I guess, when Sutton retired, he lost that trait.
Randy Sutton: liar and loser.

Who Will Be The Biggest Loser In Tuesday's Election?

After the votes have been cast and the winners picked and losers lick their wounds. Of course, two days out, it is hard to predict most races, but it is easy to say who was the biggest loser in the 2010.
And the biggest loser is.... The Las Vegas Sun. There is no bigger loser than the Las Vegas Sun. They hitched their wagon to the Democrats and the status quo in Washington D.C. and Carson City and as we will probably see, they picked the wrong horses.
The Sun not only hired extremist liberal reporters to write articles for the election, they also wrote liberal blogs, most of the time smearing the line between articles and blogs. Their bias- Annjeanette Damon, Jon Ralston, Delen Goldberg and others were just horrific in their alleged reporting. The "journalists" are nothing but Sesame Street School of Journalism school dropouts who had an agenda and it showed in the "news articles". These "journalists" have to be at the bottom of their profession and only could be hired at bird cage liner newspapers like the Las Vegas Sun.
The editor, Brian Greenspun, just went unhinged. He now says, if you vote for Sharron Angle, you are stupid. Yeah, right Brian. And those who vote for Reid are what? Mensa members? Apparently, Greenspun is unaware that there are different sides to every issue and those who vote for Angle choose to think that the Country and especially, Nevada, would be better off without Harry Reid. I am pretty sure, his parents, who started and ran the Sun would be extremely disappointed in him as he has taken the low road in journalism. But on the other hand, the National Enquirer would be proud of him.
Jon Ralston resorted to lying and racism in his reporting. He continually lied for Harry Reid, from Scott Ashijan to reporting false poll numbers, in which he is doing again today, and resorted to racism in his reporting the Rory-Sandoval race.
So, the biggest loser of the election has to be the Las Vegas Sun. No other candidate for the title comes close.

No Wonder Dina Titus Is Desperate

From the LVRJ: Results of the first nonpartisan public poll in seven weeks show Republican challenger Joe Heck has opened up a 10 percentage point lead over incumbent Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal/8NewsNow poll reported 53 percent of respondents prefer Heck and 43 percent Titus. http://www.lvrj.com/news/poll--heck-takes-lead-over-titus-106399053.html

So, with about two days remaining in the election, Titus has gotten shrill desperate in her advertisements. Instead of taking the high road and talking about her accomplishments, she resorted to lies and slander of Dr. Joe Heck. She took the Harry Reid approach- the scorch earth policy and lie and distort his opponent's record and it failed her miserably.
So, it looks like Dina Titus will be looking for a new job come January. Hopefully, it will not be education.

Strange Headline #2

From the stuff.com, a Christchurch, New Zealand area newspaper had this headline:
"All Blacks miss Dan Carter at the death"
http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/sport/4291458/All-Blacks-miss-Dan-Carter-at-the-death

All Blacks is a rugby team in New Zealand and they were playing a match in Hong Kong.
I don't think the "All Blacks" name would be allowed on any sports team in the U.S. because of political correctness

Good Riddance!

For the first time since the mid 40's, there will be no Kennedy in Congress. From the Washington Times: Whatever the outcome of the race, the election will mark the end of an era in American politics that dates back to 1946 when John F. Kennedy won a House seat in Massachusetts. Each year since then, at least one member of the Kennedy family has been in the White House, the U.S. House, or the U.S. Senate.
"It really is the end of the line for the Kennedys politically because when Patrick Kennedy leaves office I think the only Kennedy left is someone on the Santa Monica City Council," said Darrell M. West, a former Brown University professor who now works at the left-leaning Brookings Institution. "When you think about the fact that at one point they had a president and two senators and now they are down to a city council seat, that pretty much tells the story." http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/oct/28/gop-eyes-last-kennedy-seat-capitol-hill-camelot-er/

While the Kennedy's may have good intentions in the beginning of their careers, the Kennedy's were mostly a disgrace. The fooling around, the sexual harassment, being booze hounds and druggies out did any good they did. Ted Kennedy was a disgrace, from killing a woman to his drunkenness and his sexual harassment of women.
So, good bye Kennedy family and don't let the door hit you in the butt as you leave the Congress.

Harry Reid: Dina Titus Is Extreme

Well, we always knew Dina Titus is a liar and has no idea how the real world works based on her sheltered life and not having a real job in her life. But now we know, Dina Titus is extreme. Who says so? Why, none other than Harry Reid!!
When Harry ran this commercial, he was targeting Sharron Angle:

But surprise, surprise, Dina Titus also voted against the bill.
From states liberty.com: "Now here is the most interesting part, when that same bill reached the Nevada Senate, there was only one state Senator Voting against the legislation, Dina Titus.
Titus was in the state senate when the bill Reid’s ad featured, AB 239, went through the legislature and was the only
senator to cast a ‘no’ vote on the measure."
In other words, Titus had her own reason for voting against the bill just as Angle did. Neither one of them were voting to protect sex offenders. It does show how out of touch Harry Reid is that he didn’t check exactly who his latest attack commercial would attack.
http://states.liberty.com/2010/10/19/oops-new-harry-reid-ad-takes-swing-at-sharon-angle-but-hits-democrat-dina-titus/
Now, Dina Titus is a liar and extreme. Even Harry says so.

Dina Titus Lying Again

Dina (I've Never Had A Real Job In My Life) is lying again in her commercials.
You have a retired police officer, Randy Sutton and the husband of a police officer bitching about Joe Heck denying workman's compensation against an officer who might have been exposed to Ricen.
For background, Jane Ann Morrison writes about the case in question in the LVRJ: http://www.lvrj.com/news/couple--police-clash-over-ricin-incident-104929599.html
But the facts of the case is this:
1. No other person who was in contact in the room or with the suspect, including hotel employees who first came in contact with the suspect and his room have come down with symptoms of Ricin poisoning. This also includes ambulance workers who transported the suspect to the hospital.
2. Metro police also denied the officer's workman's comp case.
3. There was no Ricin found on any police officer's equipment or the hotel.
4. Metro said the officer involved never was exposed to Ricin.
5. The officer involved is still working for Metro.
So, once again, Dina Titus is caught lying to the voters of Nevada. How pathetic is she that she has to lie instead of running her record.
6. Joe Heck has no way to defend himself about these accusations because of privacy laws. the people in the video, including Titus can lie all they want but Joe Heck cannot defend himself because of privacy issues.
Besides, what did Titus want Heck to do, lie? If the police officer in question never displayed symptoms consistent with ricin poisoning, what was he supposed to do? Further, has Joe Heck always denied workman's comp. claims for Metro? Somehow, I don't think so.
Dina Titus and Randy Sutton, both of you are liars and should be ashamed of yourselves. And Dina Titus, I really hope you lose and then you are never allowed into a classroom again. You do not have the integrity to be a teacher or professor. You are not a moral person and you should not be ever allowed near any students, even if they are adults.

Update: I have found out that Metro is self insured, so while Titus claims that Heck was doing the bidding of insurance companies, the fact is that no insurance companies were involved.
Here is Dr. Heck's response to this slanderous commercial by Titus: "Desperate times call for desperate measures and this ad reeks of a Congresswoman who will stop at nothing to save her own job. With one week to go, we have literally watched Dina Titus curse, cheat, and lie to try and win an election. Time and again throughout this campaign, numerous independent sources have pointed out that Congresswoman Titus' ads have been filled with lies," said Mari Nakashima, spokeswoman for Dr. Joe Heck. "In politics, bottoming out can be difficult, but Congresswoman Titus hit a new low when she attacked Joe Heck's integrity as a medical professional and cowardly attacks Joe Heck on an a matter that he cannot talk about due to medical privacy laws (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act - HIPAA). It is shameful and embarrassing that our Congresswoman who clearly has a lack of tact and judgment is actually questioning Joe Heck's work ethic and honesty. Joe Heck is a man who currently serves as a Colonel in his 20th year in the U.S. Army reserves, has saved lives of soldiers in combat and citizens in the emergency departments of southern Nevada. Dina Titus's willingness to attack not only her opponent but the integrity of the men and women of the police force is shameful, arrogant, and inappropriate," continued Nakashima, "Dina Titus should be ashamed."

FACT: METRO is self-insured. METRO does not use any corporate insurance company. METRO pays their claims using taxpayer dollars.FACT: Joe Heck, as the contract Medical Director for METRO, renders his professional medical analysis and recommendation based on the information provided to him by the Department. FACT: The Department makes the final decision on claim acceptance or denial.
Unfortunately, I am not able to find a copy of the ad on the web but if I do, i will post it.

Notre Dame honors fallen student during game

This is from ESPN.
The student they were honoring, Declan Sullivan, was killed in a fall while filming a Nortre Dame football practice.
A moment of silence was observed and a prayer offered before Saturday's game between Notre Dame and Tulsa in memory of Declan Sullivan, a 20-year-old student videographer who died when the tower from which he was filming practice from fell over.

No Wonder People Don't Take Teachers Seriously

I was flipping through the TV channels and came across "Teach: Tony Danza". It's a reality show that shows Tony Danza teaching. English. Somehow, Tony Danza and English are not three words you usually find in the same sentence.
From TV Replay: Actor Tony Danza is the former star of such sitcoms as 'Taxi' and 'Who's the Boss?', but it's been a long time since he had a major hit. (Although he does have his film career as the star of movies like 'Going Ape!' to fall back on.)However, Tony does have a new reality series coming up: 'Teach' -- which will premiere in October on the A&E Network. It follows a year in the life of Mr. Danza, as he struggles to educate a class of 10th-grade English students. Tony spent a year in Northeast High School in Philadelphia, and this wasn't just a random choice for him....
And our second point: After originally being rejected by the New York school system, Danza eventually convinced the folks in Pennsylvania to let him teach. However, he never actually managed to get certified as a real teacher. So he had to have a second "co-teacher" in his classroom, who would observe and monitor him. In addition, because of his lack of certification, Tony only taught two classes a day. (Actual high school teachers have to teach between four and seven classes a day.)

Umm, ok. Though the school resembles he "teaches" my school in many different ways.

Sharron Angle Still Trying To Lose The Election

On the Friday before the elections Harry Reid brings in boxer Manny Pacquiano.
Sharron Angle brings in John McCain.
Good thing Harry Reid is hated so much.

An Advertisement That any Conservative Would Be Proud Of

Then compare this commercial to the commercials run by Dina Titus, Harry Reid and for that matter, Sharron Angle.

Do Not Confuse Nevada For The Dairy State

I knew the numbers weren't big, but this surprised me how little dairy production there is in Nevada.
From the Las Vegas Sun: Lynn Hettrick, the deputy chief of staff for Gov. Jim Gibbons, is taking a new job.
Hettrick has been named executive director of the state Dairy Commission, which regulates the state's 20 dairy farms, two milk plants and three frozen dessert plants.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/29/chief-staff-gibbons-takes-dairy-commission-job/
I know you won't find too many dairy farms in the desert and mountains, but 20 in the entire state? Wow.

Radio Talk Show Host Off The Air Waves For Electioneering?

In Alaska, a conservative talk show host has been pulled off the air based on a complaint by Lisa Murkowski.
From The Alaska Dispatch: Dan Fagan, the conservative talk show host who lately spends much of his three-hour radio show slamming U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and extolling the virtues of Republican Joe Miller, has been yanked off the air...
Branch Haymans, an Anchorage financial advisor, was angered by Fagan's show Thursday afternoon. Haymans is a close friend of Murkowski's and has volunteered for her campaign, but is not part of her paid campaign staff.
On Friday morning, Haymans called KFQD and spoke with Joe Campbell, KFQD's program director. Haymans said he told Campbell that he thought Fagan's on-air behavior bordered on election tampering, but didn't threaten legal action or ask for Fagan to be taken off the air.
Campbell did not return a message requesting comment for this story...

"Bottom line is that Lisa Murkowski is a very powerful person, and she has succeeded in taking me off the air the Friday before the election," Fagan said. "It's impressive."
Fagan is sure Murkowski is behind his getting yanked, but Murkowski campaign spokesman Steve Wackowski said they didn't have anything to do with it.

h/t Real Debate Wisconsin

How The Democrats Plan On Stealing The nevada senate Election: Chapter 3

A voter in Clark County has filed an election complaint with the Nevada Secretary of State relating to union thuggery during voting during the early elections.
In the complaint. it states that the union thugs escorted voters directly to the voting rooms, stationing the thugs around the voting around to prevent their members from leaving and watching and staring in a menacing manner while watching voters cast their ballots. The complaint also states that the union members were bribed to vote by providing lunches to the casino workers, who were from the Bellagio and Ceasars Palace.
http://www.redstate.com/erick/files/2010/10/unioncomplaint.pdf
The complaint goes into great detail about the allegations.
Union thugs, who would have thought?

3 Shot At Reno Wal-Mart

In Reno NV, a gunman has shot 3 people in a Wal-Mart store and the gunman is still inside the store. from the Reno Gazette Journal: "A gunman was holed up Friday at a Walmart in Reno after he allegedly shot three employees who have been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
About 100 people in the store were safely evacuated, police said.
The lone gunman entered the store about 8:30 a.m. and started shooting in the direction of an employee or employees, Reno Deputy Police Chief Mike Whan said.
“To our knowledge, he’s the only one in the store,” Whan told The Associated Press. “We don’t know anything about the gunman yet or his motives.”
The three injured employees were being treated at a hospital.
Police believe the gunman was in a back room. Whan said they were trying to contact him, but there was no dialogue so far."

http://www.rgj.com/article/20101029/NEWS01/101029010
This is a dangerous situation for the cops. Having worked at a Wal-Mart here in Las Vegas, there are many hiding places this guy could be in, if in fact, he is still in the store. What is in the favor of the cops is that the security office which has all the monitoring screens of the store's cameras is in front of the building and the cops have access to this room. Another good thing for the cops is that Wal-Mart has a tremendous amount of security cameras, including in the back rooms, so they probably can see him, even if he is in the warehouse area. The only areas they don't have cameras are in the offices and the breakroom.
Hopefully, all the employees will be ok and the thug will be captured without any police officers being hurt.

Update: Apparently, the shooter is a Wal-Mart employee.

This Didn't Take Long: Eric Scott's Family Sues

A Civil Rights lawsuit has been filed against Metro for the shooting death of Eric Scott.
From the LVRJ: Relatives of Erik Scott, a medical device salesman shot dead by Las Vegas police officers outside the Summerlin Costco store in July, have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Metropolitan Police Department, Costco and individual employees of each...In the lawsuit, the Scott family alleges officers used excessive force, violating Scott's constitutional rights.
http://www.lvrj.com/news/civil-rights-lawsuit-filed-in-costco-shooting-case-106323738.html

And within a year, the case will be settled for $1-2 million or so and there will be no trial. I doubt it will even go to the deposition stage.

We will never know what actually happened in this case, especially without the missing video from Costco.

5 Day Weekend For Students In CCSD

This weekend, the students who go to schools in CCSD get a day weekend.
Today, the staff and students are off for Nevada Day. On Monday and Tuesday, it is staff development day. Presumably, this is because of the elections and most schools are used as polling sites. I guess they don't want students and voters mixing together.

Halloween: Las Vegas Style

This being Halloween weekend, here are some links for a nice and scary Halloween:
From the LVRJ: http://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/events/halloween/
From the Las Vegas Sun: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/16/2010-halloween-events-guide/

There is also a haunted house at Desert Pines High School and the price of admission is $1. I've gone to this and the kids do a great job. There are many activities, besides the haunted house and it is a fun time for all.
Desert Pines is located at 3800 E. Harris, which is near the intersection of Bonanza and Pecos or just east Child Haven and Freedom Park.
Go out and support the local charities.

Snow On Top Of Mount Charleston

Last week, when it rained in Las Vegas, it also left Mount Charleston with a layer of snow on the tallest peaks.
There is a myth that the Las Vegas does not get snow. Last year, the highest peaks of Mount Charleston, about 45 minutes from the Strip, got about 10 feet of snow and the snow was on the tallest peaks well into July. We also have a ski resort in the Mount Charleston area.
So, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, up in Mount Charleston. Meanwhile, it will be in the 70's the rest of the week.

More Harry reid/Dina Titus Spending To Help Nevadans

From The Washington Examiner: WHO: National Science Foundation
WHAT: Is paying the California Academy of Sciences $1.9 million during five years to fund a study of the effect of human activity on the insect life of Madagascar.

And Harry, Shelly and Dina, how does that help us out in Nevada?

I Voted Today And Harry Reid's Name Showed Up

Today I early voted and Harry Reid's name popped up, but it wasn't checked and I voted with a mixture of Republican and the IAP (Independent American Party) and one Democrat. So, I voted bi-partisan today.
I am not really buying into the voting irregularities, at least not yet. For instance, if fraud happened, why Boulder City? Seems kind of strange to do it in an a GOP stronghold.
However some things do trouble me. If what the people say is true, there is almost no way they were holding on to the voting machine and accidentally touched his name. Just not probable. Nor when I lightly touched or brushed the machine, did the machine register a vote.
I also don't think an SEIU member would risk their high paying job to tamper with the machine, unless they were paid off very, very well. Why would they risk their job and jail time for a bad case of voter fraud. You don't think people would notice the check mark by Reid's name in a GOP stronghold?
So, if there is something strange going, produce some convincing evidence, like video, affidavit or something besides a he says/she says or telephone calls to a talk show host.
That being said, I also don't put it past Harry Reid to do something to rig the election. He's rigged Senate votes, why not rig his re-election?

Scott Walker: 3 Years In College= Unschooled

Scott Walker is running for governor in Wisconsin and is kicking the Democrat's candidate, Tom Barrett, butt in the polls. Naturally, the liberals are going nuts. Just like the liberals are going nuts that their liberal candidates in Nevada are getting their butts kicked in the polls here.
Well, there is a liberal columnist, Chris Rickert, who writes for, I believe The Capitol Times in Madison, WI. and doesn't like the fact that Walker dropped out of college. He says this about Walker and his three years in college: "But not, apparently, if you want to be governor.
I don't think Walker or any candidate is unqualified just because he doesn't have a degree. Besides, Walker dropped out after three years at Marquette to take a good job. That's not exactly the same as quitting to go follow the Grateful Dead.
Rather, I'm disappointed there hasn't been much discussion about what it means to have an unschooled governor."

http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/chris_rickert/article_38f9d1e2-e21e-11df-9816-001cc4c03286.html
I don't know who this Chris Rickert is. Maybe he is a journalist, columnist or a bitter lefty or someone high on drugs. But three years at Marquette University, one of the finest colleges in Wisconsin and the country is not exactly unschooled. In addition, he didn't drop out because he wasn't making the grade, he dropped out to pursue a very good job.
But walker is in fine company of college and high school drop outs. Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Warren Buffet, Julie Andrews, Steve Martin and many, many more have not finished college. To find out more people who did not finish college: http://www.collegedropoutshalloffame.com/m.htm
So, maybe Mr. Rickert can come down out his ivy tower and realize it takes more than being a college graduate to succeed. Maybe Mr. Rickert is angry he hasn't succeeded yet life that he wants to take down people who are more successful than him, but have less formal education.
But whatever the reason, Chris Rickert is not an intelligent man, no matter what eduction he has.

Scott Ashijan Mailer In Reno Area

From Dullard Mush: "Just when I thought Tea Party of Nevada U.S. Senate candidate Scott Ashjian (and general thorn in the side of the GOP's Sharron Angle) had actually dipped into his wallet and spent a little money, I noticed something conspicuously absent from this mailer -- the usual "paid for by ..." spiel. But maybe they just forgot, right? They also forgot his web address, ScottAshjianforSenate.com, and any mention of his Tea Party of Nevada. They did, though, manage to grab a fistful of Ashjian quotes and urged you to call his campaign headquarters to "tell him to support a Balanced Budget Amendment and preserve the United States Constitution." : http://dullardmush.blogspot.com/2010/10/anonymous-scott-ashjian-mailer-lands-in.html
And I am sure Harry Reid is not behind this. (sarcasm) Ashijan is supposedly past broke and in severe debt and he supposedly has time to pay for this expensive looking mailer?
More Dirty Harry's tricks.

Exclusive: Cox Cutting Joe Heck's Commercials

I was watching "Top Chef- Just Desserts" and Cox put a commercial on for Joe Heck. Well, less than 2 seconds worth at about 4:40 PM. The commercial mention Joe Heck's name and then cut to a commercial for New Jersey Housewives or some show like that.
So, why did Cox cut Joe Heck's commercials and are they doing it at other times and other channels. It should be noted that Bravo is an ultra liberal television station, but probably had no say in local commercials.
Just wondering.

Mental Illness Strikes Joy Behar

Not to outdo her blathering from the day before, Behar says this today, on Wednesday: Angle apparently had a heavy fundraising push off Behar's commentary, and sent her flowers as a thank you for the $150,000 she raised online Tuesday.
"I'd like to point out that those flowers were picked by illegal immigrants, and they're not voting for you, bitch!" Behar said
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/27/joy-behar-sharron-angle_n_774932.html

You stay off your medication, Joy. Mental illness is treatable, you know, Joy.

What a moron.

Harry Reid: That's Your Career Dissipation Light. It Just Went Into High Gear"

From The Las Vegas Sun (who must have been gritting their teeth when they wrote this):The fifth straight public poll showing Republican Sharron Angle with a small but growing lead (within the margin of error) over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was released today.
The polls technically show a continued statistical dead heat, but Angle is trending up.
The latest
poll was released today by CNN/Time, which showed Angle with 49 percent support to Reid’s 45 percent.
The crosstabs show a dramatic drop in the number of none of the above voters—from 10 percent at the beginning of the month to just 3 percent this week. That could be an indication Republicans have succeeded in convincing voters that a none of the above vote would only help Reid. (In a race this close, it likely could help either candidate.)

http://www.lasvegassun.com/blogs/damon-political-report/2010/oct/27/angle-trending-public-polling/
This polls mirrors the Rasmussen poll that also shows Angle up by 4 points.
No wonder why Harry Reid is pulling out all the stops and getting desperate.
As quoted from the Backdraft movie: "That's your career dissipation light. It just went into high gear"

Update: Death At Rehab And Hard Rock

Here is an update of the death of a patron at Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino: The death of an Oregon man in late August at the Hard Rock Hotel's Rehab pool was caused by a combination of drowning and ethanol intoxication, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Ethanol, also known as grain alcohol, is contained in whiskey, vodka, gin and other liquors.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/27/death-hard-rocks-rehab-pool-caused-drowning-intoxi/
The victim was 27 year old Matthew Williams of Happy Valley, OR.
Strange that the head injury was not a cause of death.

Henderson Police Need Some Explaining To Do

On Monday night, there was a murder in the far Southeast part of Henderson. All we know is that there gun shots were heard and someone died. Nothing more than that.
We don't know if it was a home invasion, a home owner killing an intruder, gang violence, a drive by or a random act. We don't know if the public is in danger or if there is any suspect information.
I do know we saw the ambulance traveling down the 95 with a police car trailing close by, which can indicate the ambulance was carrying the victim- but it could have been a good guy or a bad guy.
So, Henderson Police Department, please tell use what is going on. Are we, who live in Henderson and the Valley in danger or not?

I Just Got Done Reading Her Biography

I just read Pat Benatar's biography. Nothing fantastic, other than she is a classically trained singer when she was younger and her second husband, not named Benatar, is playing guitar in the video.

World's Longest Cat Is In Nevada

As a person allergic to cats, all I can say is that cat would not be welcome at my house. But in bad times, it's nice to see Nevada is number 1 in something good.
h/t Las Vegas Sun

Breaking News: Another Murder In Henderson

At about 9:30, we started hearing sirens along 95 and Horizon. Then the 11:00 news reported a murder occurred at Wagonwheel and Thoroughbred Dr., which on the far east side of Henderson. Apparently, according to the news account, a guy was shot in the street and died at Sunrise Hospital. The cops are looking for a red car.
While Henderson is not as violent as North Las Vegas, it still has crime and murders. I think this is about the 6th murder this year here in town. The good part is that the Henderson cops are good and usually catch their crooks. So, whoever did this, probably will be caught.

Pawn Stars Review: October 25, 2010

Sorry for missing the first part of the first episode of Pawn Stars. Some things came up.
The first thing I saw was a saddle that a guy wanted $16,000 and Rick offered $8000. They looked old and I am sure had some significance.
The next guy brought in an old Schwinn bike, and Panther and Phantom model, from the 1950's. The guy wanted $3600 and Corey offered $3000 and that was selling price.
A guy brought in a miniature cannon and they brought in Sean. It looked like a toy cannon. It was real and it worked. It came from the 18th century and is rare. Sean said the cannon was worth about $2000. The guy bought the cannon for $50. The guy wanted $1500 and Rick offered $700 and then $800 and that was the selling price.
The next guy had a truck load of boxes of Sammy Davis Jr. memorabilia. He had 58 boxes of things. They were VCR cassettes of shows that Sammy watched. They guy wanted $65,000. There was no sale because Rick didn't see any value in it. Besides, the Shop has hundreds of DVDs and cassettes.
They took the tiny cannon to a firing area to fire. The cannon shot and blew up a water balloon.
In the 2nd episode, the first guy brought in some fossils of plants and spiders. Umm, that is something I have not seen in the shop before-fossils. Maybe E-bay if they buy it? Anyways, time for the expert, a paleontologist. The guy wanted $1200 but Rick offered $800 and then $1000. But there was no sale. But wait, Rick came back with $1100 and it sold for that price.
The next guy brought in a Down And Dirty motorcycle frame. There was nothing much to the frame. The guy wanted $4000 and Corey offered $2000. Corey went up to $3000. That is kind of strange coming from Corey. They went to Count Kustoms for the work. http://www.countskustoms.com/ They made a brand new motorcycle out of the frame. It had a Harley motor and some custom parts. It cost about $15000 and a total cost of $18000. they had budgeted $12,000. The Old Man and Rick were not too happy with Corey.
The next guy had a blackjack table from the Stardust. Rick offered $500 and the guy wanted $1000. They played a hand of blackjack. Rick lost, again, and the final cost was $650.
Question: How many times does the Pawn Shop guys admit they made a mistake when they bought something. The only thing I can thin of is the hot air balloon. Anything else?
The next lady brought in Coca Cola signs. The Old Man liked the signs and said they came from the 1950's. The lady offered $900 and the Old Man offered $200. But it went for $250. The Old Man told a story about the differences in taste. Cane sugar vs corn syrup and he said there is a big difference. My lovely wife Cathy, whose birthday is on Tuesday, totally agrees with the Old Man, there is a huge difference in taste.
So, another week is done here in Las Vegas. We are experiencing Fall weather, though some people respond to 50 degree weather with parkas.

Time To Defund NPR

NPR receives taxpayer money to supposedly operate but why? They can sell commercials. They do it now, anyways. Ever listen to their shows: "This hour is brought to you by..." So, the commercial argument is gone down the toilet.
Obviously, NPR has a liberal view point. Whether it is in their new shows and even in their entertainment shows, all it is liberal, liberal, liberal. "All Things Considered" and "Prarie Home Companion", their two biggest shows- liberal.
When they fired Juan Williams, they didn't fire him for his comments. Hell, liberals on their shows say more outrageous things. They fired him for him going on Fox News all the time.
A few years ago, they tried to get a convicted cop killer to comment stories: Yes, that would be one Mumia Abu-Jamal, who, on the night of Dec. 9, 1981, fired several fatal shots into the body of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. Police found Abu-Jamal with a bullet wound from Faulkner's gun near the officer's corpse.
Abu-Jamal was convicted and sentenced to death in 1982. He managed to gain supporters who truly believe that somebody else shot Faulkner, who then mysteriously and for no good reason shot Abu-Jamal and that the latter is innocent.
So in 1994 the producer of NPR's show "All Things Considered" thought it would be a peachy idea to have Abu-Jamal give monthly commentaries about prison life. He was to be paid $175 per broadcast.
Read more at the Washington Examiner: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/NPR-should-have-been-defunded-when-they-were-paying-a-cop-killer-1321836-105637663.html#ixzz13R53JZOH

NPR says they only get about 2% of their money from the taxpayers. So, they can either get more sponsorships, get more money from their listeners or cut costs by 2%. No big deal, right?

But, in this day and age, taxpayers should not be paying NPR any money. If anything, NPR ought to be paying taxes. If NPR or a show cannot succeed on their own, then the heck with the show and/or station.
So, NPR, stop taking taxpayer money and see if your liberal bias shows will succeed on their own. Otherwise, you just may have to change.

October Surpise?:More Harry Reid Crappola

From Fox News: An aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid repeatedly lied to federal immigration and FBI agents and submitted false federal documents to the Department of Homeland Security to cover up her illegal seven-year marriage to a Lebanese national who was the subject of an Oklahoma City Joint Terror Task Force investigation, FoxNews.com has learned.
Diana Tejada, Reid’s Hispanic Press Secretary, admitted to receiving payment for “some of her expenses” in exchange for fraudulently marrying Bassam Mahmoud Tarhini in 2003, strictly so he could obtain permanent U.S. residency, according to court documents...

Tejada, now 28, was never charged for her role in the crime....In court documents, Tejada, who was also the Press Secretary of Hispanic Media for the Senate Majority Conference Committee, is referred to as “an uncharged coconspirator in the crime of perjury, filing false immigration documents, the crime of sham marriage.” Gee, I wonder why she wasn't charged. Maybe Harry had a little influence in Homeland Security, either directly or indirectly?
Further in the article: Tejada, according to sources with knowledge of the meeting, expressed concern about her job and said she was worried about Reid's reaction to her sham marriage. The federal agents told her she had an obligation to tell Reid, and sources said they believed she would inform her boss.
The highest level of management inside the Department of Homeland Security was aware that she worked for Reid, multiple sources confirmed, and following protocol, the majority leader should have been informed of the investigation through those channels, as well.
But in July 2009, when an ICE agent testifying at Tarhini’s preliminary deportation hearing was asked specifically about Tejada’s employer, the agent did not say it was the U.S. Senate.
ICE Special Agent Rebecca Perkins: “Currently she is employed with the — a Hispanic center organization.”

Tarhini's Defense Counsel, Jeffrey Byers: “Is that La Raza? Does that sound familiar?"
Perkins: “I don’t know.”
Byers: “It’s a — it’s a — it's something that is a public service group for the Hispanic community. Is that a fair statement, or something to that degree?”
Perkins: “Yes”

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/10/25/exclusive-aide-to-harry-reid-lied-to-feds-submitted-false-documents-about-sham-marriage/
Seems like ICE may have lied to protect Harry Reid and committed perjury while doing so.
How much is Harry involved? Who knows really, except Reid and his staff. But he should have known. As Senate Majority Leader, he has access to top secret information and he should have really, really known every little detail about potential employees and this should have been found out. The fact that Reid did not do enough fact checking on a potential employee is troubling.
Further, if Sharron Angle would have done this or John Ensign, the left would be having a field day with this and the Las Vegas Sun would made this headline news up until Nov. 3rd.
This also help explain why Reid is soft on illegal immigration.

Rham Emmanuel Is So Proud Of Chicago That Videotapes His Announcement In Washington D.C.

Rahm Emanuel is trying to be mayor of Chicago and he filmed a very boring piece about being glad back in Chicago. Except he was in Washington D.C. when he said this: From Ben Smith of Politico: Rahm Emanuel kicked off his campaign for mayor of Chicago with a homecoming video, filmed in front of a bookshelf with a vase and a family photograph.
"I was born here, and my wife Amy and I raised our three children here," he says. "I'm glad to be home."
But an Emanuel spokeswoman, Lori Goldberg, confirms that the video itself was actually filmed in Washington, D.C., in the offices of AKPD Message and Media, the firm founded by David Axelrod.
The fact that Emanuel's use of the word "here" wasn't accurate is an amusing footnote to what Illinois lawyers say may be a serious legal problem: Rivals are challenging Emanuel's residency, and his right to run will hinge on where his "home" actually is. Emanuel didn't respond in detail Monday to a question on the subject.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1010/Glad_to_be_home__but_where_is_that.html?showall

Yeah, kind of like Harry Reid saying he'd rather live in Nevada rather than in the Ritz-Carlton.

Justin Timberlake Open: One Hell Of A Finish

Today, the Justin Timberlake Open in Las Vegas made history as Jonathon Byrd made a hole in one to win in a playoff in a 3 way playoff hole. This is the first time in PGA history a playoff was won by a hole in one. The last two players went in the drink after the hole in run.
As seen on the Golf Channel, everyone was in disbelief. The shot bounced 3 times and rolled into the cup.
It's too bad that not many people saw the shot. There were not that many fans on the course and the television audience probably was small as well.
But hey, when in Vegas, might as well go for it and gamble. Jonathon Byrd went for it and came up with all 7's.
Thank you Justin Timberlake for sponsoring the tournament and thank you for all the volunteers who worked the tournament. Great show for everyone. I hope Shriner's Hospital's can make some money off the tournament.

Harry Reid Brings In Scandal Ridden John Lewis To Campaign For Him

Harry Reid, using the race card today, brought in Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), a civil rights worker who happens to be black, to campaign for Reid in black neighborhoods of Las Vegas.
Let's see. John Lewis said that someone from the Tea Party called him the n-word as he was on his way to vote for Obamacare. Even though Andrew Breitbart offered a $10,000 reward for anyone to prove that someone uttered the n-word, no one has claimed the reward.
And John Lewis said this on the House floor: "Read the Republican contract," Lewis said on the House floor on March 21, 1995. "They're coming for our children. They're coming for the poor. They're coming for the sick, the elderly and the disabled." Lewis's comment paraphrased a famous passage by Rev. Martin Niemöller, who was in the resistance against the Nazis. Read more: http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/jeff-poor/2010/03/30/media-then-and-now-rep-john-lewis-given-pass-house-floor-nazi-reference-1#ixzz13LQtH8vS
Yep, that's intellectually honest, hey Rep. Lewis?
Lewis also tried to block a nomination because that an attorney had the nerve to go after corrupt friends of Lewis: "Georgia Rep. John Lewis, one of Washington's most prominent Democrats, called the White House earlier this year to try to block the appointment of a federal prosecutor who won convictions against more than a dozen public officials in Atlanta -- including former Mayor Bill Campbell, a longtime friend and ally of Mr. Lewis."
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125331620939424307.html
He also called for the impeachment of George W. Bush, which is quite stupid: Several Democratic lawmakers—including Michigan congressman John Conyers, California senator Barbara Boxer and Georgia congressman John Lewis—have openly discussed Bush’s impeachment, either for not telling the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, or for authorizing the National Security Agency (NSA) to wiretap the telephone calls and e-mails of Americans suspected of having terrorist ties. http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/2897/two_in_five_americans_would_impeach_bush/
I guess if you are going to impeach Bush, then you should also want to impeach Obama as he is continuing the war and continues the wire tap program. So far, Lewis has been silent in calling for the impeachment of Obama. I wonder why?
In 2004, Lewis wanted to disenfranchise voters from Ohio by not wanting their Electoral College votes counted.
No, Congressman Lewis is not like some other civil rights fighters in the 1960's. He is not like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who are money whores who were in the civil rights fights in the 1960's and 70's.
However, Lewis is no saint either. And Harry Reid is using race in his re-election bid. Just as Reid used race in his saying "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, OK. Do I need to say more?"
Yep, Harry Reid, you are too extreme for Nevada. Most residents have gotten over race, but not Harry Reid. He uses race every chance he gets, it appears. But hey, when you think Robert "KKK" Byrd is a role model, what do you expect?

Time For Conservatives To Boycott Harrahs And MGM Properties

I am not usually one to participate in, much less call for a boycott, but I think conservatives need to boycott MGM and Harah properties, at least for the time being.
Executives from both MGM and Harrahs have both publicly supported Harry Reid, but only said they do, but they also did commercials for Reid. For them to do film commercials for Reid is throwing sand in the face of conservatives, especially the fool that said he is a Republican voting for Reid. It's bad enough the unions of the properities are supporting Reid but for the executives to do so as well, then they don't need my business.
Since these executives advertised they were executives for their properties, that also shows me that the MGM and Harrahs are anti-conservative and support Harry Reid.
So, MGM and Harrahs, since you say you are voting for Reid, that tells me you don't give a damn about conservatives. As a conservative, I will not support your properties. I also encourage other conservatives to boycott Harrahs and MGM properties.

Brett Favre's Last Lambeau Moment Results In A Loss: Packer Fans Classless

Brett Favre just finished playing his final game at Lambeau field and this is going to be his last visit to Green bay. The Viqueens lost, 28-24. Favre threw at least 3 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. I might also add that the Viqueen receivers have some lazy receivers who just don't hustle. Yeah, Randy Moss, I'm looking at you.
But as Favre was leaving the field the Packer fans sounded like they were booing Favre. Maybe I am missing something, but if they were booing, what a bunch of ungrateful drunken slobs.
So, the Packers won and have a bye week. Which sucks because the Badgers also have a bye week, so no Wisconsin football next week.

I've seen the word "pressitute" in several on-line discussions in the past couple of days.
I think this is the perfect definition of The Las Vegas Sun and other liberal newspaper rags.

League Of Women Voters: No To Pledge Of Allegiance Then Audience Takes Over

Really, I am not trying to pick on women today, but this is just plain stupid by the League of Women Voters.
There was a debate in Illinois and when someone asked to say the Pledge of Allegiance, the woman in charge said no and then the audience took over.
Stupid and pathetic.

Stupid Liberal Women

The above ad is showing on the Las Vegas Sun. Apparently, Women Voices, the sponsor of the advertisement, think that if Sharron Angle, there will be no jobs for women and college education loans will dry up. It says " No Jobs, No college loans. in these tough times?" in the center part of the advertisement.
Apparently, this group think women or men for that matter, are sooo stupid to believe this crap.
Stupid liberal women. They make blondes look intelligent.

Another #1 Bites The Dust: Boise State #1

Oklahoma was number 1 for a week and like Ohio State before them, was beaten by Missouri 36-27. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=302960142
Time to make Boise State number 1. They have not lost a game since December 23, 2008, and that was their only loss their season.
What else do they have to do to be number 1? Beat the Buffalo Bills? Nah, too easy. Maybe the Detroit Lions.

Brett Favre Text Messages: Who Cares?

Brett Favre has been accused of sending some racy text messages to a female who worked for the New York Jets as a hostess. It is being reported every day and the news media make it sound like it is the new Watergate scandal.
Seriously, the news media must be hurting for some serious news. The hostess did not bring this issue up, some web site did. From what has been reported, it doesn't even sound like she is after any money from Favre- she just wants this to go away.
Brett Favre has been silent. The NFL is investigating, but why? No crime was committed. It was a private conversation between two adults. We don't even know what the context of the messages are. What were the conversations and text messages before and after the gross texts occurred.? We don't know. And why should we even care.
Unless there has been a crime committed or he was harassing her continuously, the NFL ought to stay out of it. What ever happened to privacy in private conversations between adults. It is awfully scary when you think about it. How many people have sent out text messages in a private conversations that you regret sending. And how would you feel if the message got out, especially if the person who received the message did not release the texts. Pissed and violated is how I would feel.
So, let Favre play ball and retire with dignity and after the Packers beat the Viqueens tomorrow, may he have a great season.

Badgers 31 Hawkeyes 30

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good and the Badgers were mostly lucky today as the Badgers beat the Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes missed a extra point and a chip shot field goal in the first quarter. They also got lucky at the end of the game as the Badgers tackled the Hawkeye runner in bounds on the last play, as the runner was trying to get out of bounds.
But the Badgers were tough and after trailing by 6 points with about 8 minutes left, the Badgers marched and trudged down the field, which included a fake punt and scored with about 1 minute left. For winning the game, the Badgers won the pig trophy or Heartland Trophy.
The Badgers are 4-1, second place in the Big Ten, behind Michigan State who barely won today. How Michigan State stays undefeated is beyond me, but they are.
The Badgers have the next week off to rest up and get some injuries taken care of.

Las Vegas Sun Lying Again

Yesterday, about 3000 people were at the Obama/Reid/Titus/Berkley Loser Rally. However, the Las Vegas Sun reports that there 9000 people at the rally. Even in their crowd photo, you can tell they were no where close to 9000 people. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/23/obama-presses-his-influence/
In addition, the Loser Rally was expecting to draw about 15,000.
So, why does the Las Vegas Sun lie? Is it a lack of journalistic ethics? Being so drunk that you are seeing triple? The inability to count without using their fingers?
But what is so sad is that the Las Vegas Sun has thrown out every ethical standard in this election. They have no creditability left. They will lie, cheat, steal to help their candidates. They have resorted to racism to help their candidates.
I am sure that the Greenspun family, when they founded the Sun, they would never have anticipated that their paper would be so unethical and turned the paper into a piece of dung. I am pretty sure that Hank and Barbara are pretty disappointed in their son, Brian, to have brought the paper down to this level.

Barack And Michelle's Big Costly Adventure And Michelle To Visit Prositutes

The King and Queen of the U.S. are traveling to Bombay India on November 6 and what a visit it will be.
From The India Times: "To ensure fool-proof security, the President’s team has booked the entire the Taj Mahal Hotel, including 570 rooms, all banquets and restaurants. Since his security contingent and staff will comprise a huge number, 125 rooms at Taj President have also been booked, apart from 80 to 90 rooms each in Grand Hyatt and The Oberoi hotels. The NCPA, where the President is expected to meet representatives from the business community, has also been entirely booked. The officer said, “Obama’s contingent is huge. There are two jumbo jets coming along with Air Force One, which will be flanked by security jets. There will be 30 to 40 secret service agents, who will arrive before him. The President’s convoy has 45 cars, including the Lincoln Continental in which the President travels.”
Since Obama will stay in a hotel that is on sea front, elaborate coastal security arrangements have been made by the US Navy in consonance with the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard. “There will be US naval ships, along with Indian vessels , patrolling the sea till about 330-km from the shore. This is to negate the possibility of a missile being fired from a distance,” the officer said. "
However, the strangest part of the article is this: Adding to the Obamas’ busy schedule is Michelle’s likely visit to Kamathipura, where she will meet commercial sex workers on the invitation of an NGO (emphasis mine)
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics/nation/Barack-and-Michelles-Mumbai-darshan-plans/articleshow/6797379.cms
Why in the world will Michelle meet with prostitutes? When she was in Nevada a month or so ago, she didn't visit any brothels here in Nevada, so why would she meet with those in India? I bet Bill Clinton wished he would have thought about this.

Baseball TV Gods Are Pissed. Liberals Even More

The TV baseball god's must be pissed tonight as the Texas Rangers defeated the New York Yankees to advance to the World Series that will begin soon and end in December.
The Yankees bring in a huge audience of both Yankee lovers and haters from all over the Country.
The Texas Rangers bring in an audience of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and not much more.
The only worst thing for the TV executives would be a win by the San Francisco Giants, which may happen tomorrow.
And who used to own the Texas Rangers? Why of course, George W. Bush- Bush 43, the most hated president by liberals.

Another Reason To Vote Against Democrats:Fazzie Bear Edition

Courtesy of The Greeenlee Gazette (A very good liberal web site- kind of wacky in a silly way, but not full of hate http://greenleegazette.blogspot.com/): With Democrats increasingly outraged over the Supreme Court's Citizen United decision that allowed unlimited corporate spending in elections -- a change conservatives have been more successful at taking advantage of -- a Democratic congressman is raising the prospect of impeaching the Supreme Court's chief justice over the issue.
"I mean, the Supreme Court has done a tremendous disservice to the United States of America," Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) told The Huffington Post on Tuesday. "They have done more to undermine our democracy with their Citizens United decision than all of the Republican operatives in the world in this campaign. They've opened the floodgates, and personally, I'm investigating articles of impeachment against Justice Roberts for perjuring during his Senate hearings, where he said he wouldn't be a judicial activist, and he wouldn't overturn precedents."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/22/peter-defazio-impeachment-chief-justice-john-roberts_n_771431.html So, Fazio The Bear wants to impeach Chief Justice John Roberts for perjury.

Seriously, DeFazio is smoking crack or shooting heroin to come up with the thought of impeaching a sitting Supreme Court Justice over an opinion and not a crime. Of course, DeFazio may also have Alzheimer's in conjunction with developmental disabilities, but to be kind, I think it is drugs.

DeFazio thinks Roberts lied during his confirmation hearings. (Like liberal justices don't lie or stretch the truth, like David Souter, but they are liberals so they can be excused) But in reality, like most justices, they cannot give opinions on different types of cases.
Maybe we can impeach DeFazio for being a traitor to this Country by voting for Obama Care and other bills that will or have been found unconstitutional.
So, after the election Fazzio the Bear will go back to his den and snort a few lines and shoot some black tar.

Obama Las Vegas Visit Bust

No matter how the media in Las Vegas spins it, the trip to Las Vegas by President Obama was a complete bust.
I talked to a friend who worked at the event and helped plan the event from a security standpoint and worked closely with the Secret Service. They expected about 15,000 people to attend and they only got 3000 people. They planned on an overflow crowd and they didn't get it.
This was a free event and it was a total bust.

More Liberal Hate: Congressman Insults All Military Veterans And Active Duty Members

Jim Moran (Dumbass-VA)says 24 years of military service is not government service and that he was just collecting a government paycheck, like that was bad.
Moran needs to apologize and the Democrats of this country need to repudiate him immediately and this includes Harry Reid, Shelly Berkley and Dina Titus, along with President Obama. The press in Nevada needs to ask all 4 about it now, since all 4 are at a campaign rally in Las Vegas now.
As a veteran, I am really pissed off at this and it insults those who have served and who have died serving this country.
The Congress ought to censure this moron, Jim Moran. You are a disgrace, Moran.

Other than the principal from El Dorado and maybe some teachers from El Dorado, we have not heard anything from the CCSD administration. District staff were not notified about the deaths by CCSD. The Superintendent's office did not send out a message of condolence to the district via e-mail. We don't know anything about the funeral arrangements, unless we read the LVRJ. It's possible some past colleagues don't even know about the deaths and certainly not the funeral arrangements. This is nothing new, as other active teachers have passed and the only way we here about it is from the local newspaper or rumor. Even though we have a lot of teachers and staff in the district, we are still a small community and we care about each other and we want to support the family and the school that is going through sorrowful times.
So, to the CCSD administration and especially those in the Superintendent's office and school board, when an active teachers passes away, show some consideration and support the teacher's family and school by sending out an e-mail letting us know about what happened and any funeral arrangements. At least show something that shows you care. I am pretty sure you do care but your actions don't show it. It will help all involved.

Las Vegas Unemployment Rate Rises To 15%

The economy of Las Vegas continues to decline as the unemployment rate rose to 15%, an all time record. Real unemployment and under employment is probably about 21%.
Harry Reid had this to say about the unemployment rate:

It's a good day in America, right Harry?

Juice Gets Squeezed Again. Pal Peels Out Of Prison

Ok, I'm not a good headline writer.
But O.J. Simpson's appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court was turned down today and will stay in prison up North for the foreseeable time. He will then appeal to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court Of Appeals, which the chances of him winning there are about the same as Harry Reid and Sharron Angle having a romantic dinner together after the election
On the other hand, his co-defendant, Clarence Stewert got his conviction over turned because of his trial was held with Simpson and Simpson's notoriety did not give him a fair trial. I support the over turning this conviction. Look for a quick plea bargain with a punishment of time served, leaving Simpson as the only defendant still in jail. Stewert could have avoided most if not all prison time if he had made a plea bargain to begin with.

More Liberal Hate On Display

This ad is from Wisconsin wth some Wisconsin conservative politicians. But it also has a national flare to it as well.
What a bunch of hate mongers.

New Super Hero: Super Harry Saves The World

It really is sad to see Harry Reid to demean himself like this.

Keep El Dorado H.S. In Your Prayers

El Dorado H.S. is going through a very difficult time. Yesterday morning, a science teacher was robbed and then hit by a car and was killed. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/21/students-honor-eldorado-high-teacher-fatally-beate/
A few days earlier, a school counselor/special education teacher from El Dorado passed away from cancer. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/lvrj/obituary.aspx?n=pamela-sowers-orr&pid=146125475
From personal experience, when I was teaching at Vincent H.S. in Milwaukee, we had two teacher deaths- cancer and a sudden heart attack within a few weeks of each other, so I know it is a very difficult time for staff and students to concentrate on their work and studies.
So, please keep the staff and students of El Dorado High School in your prayers. Maybe wear a blue shirt in their honor.

October 20th And Christmas Things Are Out Already?

I went to my local Walgreens on Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson, NV. and they already had a bunch of Christmas items out already, including a cute toy Santa reading the "Night Before Christmas".
October 20th. That's too darn early for Christmas.

Obama Coming To Vegas On Friday: More Money Lost In Private Business

Well, President Obama is coming to stump for the failed candidacies of Dina Titus and Harry Reid. Again, Obama will hurt private business as all small airports will be shut down when Obama is in town and the tourist helicopters will be shut down when Obama is here, costing them money.
So, President Obama, stay home or go somewhere else where you are wanted. You are not wanted in Las Vegas except by Harry Reid and his goons and Dina Titus and some of her unintelligent followers. Just stay home.

Who Said This: I’ve Never Believed That Government’s Role Is To Create Jobs Or Prosperity

Who said this? “I've never believed that government has all the answers to our problems. I've never believed that government's role is to create jobs or prosperity. I believe it's the drive and ingenuity of our entrepreneurs, the skill and dedication of our workers, that has made us the wealthiest nation on Earth. I believe it's the private sector that must be the main engine of our recovery. "
That must have been Sharron Angle. Nope.
Well, then, it must have been Joe Heck. Wrong again.
Well, it had to be some evil GOP candidate for Congress. Well, you would be wrong.
Why, it's President Obama!!
You think Harry Reid and Dina Titus will rip on Obama when come to Vegas on Friday. After all, they have ripped on Sharron Angle and Joe Heck.
Hypocrites.

And This Is Why North Las Vegas Needs To Layoff Workers

Tonight, the City of North Las Vegas announced they had to lay off up to 93 people because of a $35 million shortfall.
The kicker in the article is this, from the Sun: Public Works also would shed employees, including 30 Teamsters. Eight other positions iwould be left vacant, saving the city about $4.2 million. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/20/north-las-vegas-announces-proposal-cut-251-jobs/
This comes up to almost $111,000 a job. $111,000 for a public works job? Yeah, that's why the City of North Las Vegas is broke.

Kenneth Wegner Against Shelly Berkley

This afternoon I realized someone was actually running against Shelly Berkley for Congress and it is Kenneth Wegner.
The commercial Wegner put out was very good and he would be a vast improvement over Shelly "I Vote With Nancy Pelosi 100% Of The Time" Berkley.
It's too bad he could not get his message out because in this election year, he would have had a strong chance beating Berkley.
But listening to Alan Stock for 10 minutes today, I heard he got screwed by the LVRJ editorial board about scheduling a candidate interview with him. (BTW, the LVRJ editor they had on today sounded like a complete jackass, along with Stock who had his nose up the editor's butt pretty darn far)
So, here is Wegner's web site: http://wegnerforcongress.com/
And if you live in his congressional district, please vote for him. And in two years, maybe he will make a big challenge to Berkley. Berkley needs to leave Congress. She has done enough damage.

Tell Me Again Why We Should Elect Dina Titus

I have been waiting for Dina Titus to come up with a commercial this election season why we should vote for her.

Titus has put out one or two ads about how her office staff helps her constituents. Ok, so what? Most congresscritter's staff, GOP and Democrats do that.

But what is missing is a reason for us to vote for her. She doesn't run on her record. She doesn't and cannot run on employment record. She can't even run on her college education. She hasn't done anything in Congress that is noteworthy. She doesn't boast that she votes with Nancy Pelosi 93% of the time. She doesn't brag that she voted for ObamaCare.

So, please tell me again why anyone would want to vote for Dina Titus? If she won't run on her record, why have her in Congress in the first place?
