The odds makers were right. Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun times reports that Miss Wisconsin, Laura Kaeppeler of Kenosha, WI. has won the Miss America contest.
From the Las Vegas Sun: 7:53 p.m.: The fourth runner-up is Miss California Noelle Freeman. Third runner-up is Miss Arizona Jennifer Stedler. Second runner-up is Miss New York Kaitlin Monte. First runner-up is Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson, and the 2012 Miss America is Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler, just as Johnny Avello of the Wynn sports book predicted.
8:19 p.m.: Robin and other media await backstage for 2012 Miss America Laura Kaeppeler of Wisconsin and her parents, mom Sue and father Jeff, who was imprisoned for white-collar crimes while Laura was a child. She joins Terry Ann Meeuwsen as the only other Wisconsin winner and she won the title in 1972.

As Miss Wisconsin kept moving up last night and finally won, I thought about your prediction (or maybe was it a prediction of someone's that you posted earlier).
